FAQ
What is the difference between EuroSonic, Noorderslag and the Conference?
The festival EuroSonic takes place on Thursday 13 January and Friday 14 January. It is the most important showcase festival for European Talent. EuroSonic acts play at various stages in concert halls, clubs and cafes in the city centre of Groningen. EuroSonic Noorderslag Conference 2011 starts a day earlier.
The Noorderslag festival takes place on Saturday 15 January in De Oosterpoort in Groningen. This festival gives an overview of Holland’s most important acts chosen either for their remarkable contribution to the music scene or for the fact that they are considered highly talented and promising.
The EuroSonic Noorderslag Conference covers all three days (13, 14, 15 January) during the day in De Oosterpoort. The programme offers Dutch and English spoken panels, meetings and workshop given by professionals from the European music industry. Conference guests enjoy priority during the EuroSonic and Noorderslag festivals.
Together the EuroSonic festival and Noorderslag festival form EuroSonic Noorderslag.
