Getting to Groningen
By train/public transport
Groningen is about 200 km northeast of Amsterdam. Trains leave to and from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport every 30 minutes, taking around two and a half hours to get there. To plan your journey and buy train tickets in advance, please check the website of the Dutch Railways (NS). www.ns.nl

You can travel for example from Bremen to Groningen.
By airplane
For those of you arriving at Schiphol (Amsterdam Airport), the best option is to take the train from there to Groningen (see above). Groningen also has a small airport, but the airport offers flights to Aberdeen only, with transfer options to and from Manchester and Norwich.
