What makes a person decide to go to a concert? Which content strategy is right for my venue and the target group? How can I get the most out of all the social media channels without spending too much time and money? What are the best digital tools to empower my existing and new audiences?

The workshop is especially directed to venue makers and will give an overview over the current digital possibilities, show content strategy options, give practice examples form the music sector and from those the music industry can get inspired from. Michael Schlykow is Creative Director, Digital at the Hamburg based agency Schipper Company GmbH. Coming from the field of public relations, he started working in venue communication at Hamburg's MS Dockville Festival, focusing on social media. After introducing several digital channels and paid media strategies to the festival's communication setup, he continued working in advertising and is now creating digital concepts and mechanisms for brands - from beauty and fashion to food and tech.
